Inspired by The Boy's desire for a new/old toy, I bring you reasons why Sesame Street still rocks:
Kami: In 2002, the South African Sesame Street introduced an HIV+ character.
Dr. Feel: In 2004, US Sesame Street introduced Dr. Feel to help kids deal with their emotions.

I have met Jim Henson and Steve Whitmire (who now does Kermit, I believe) when I was a youngster. I was a muppet-freak. Sesame Street rules. I had the album Sesame Street Fever, with Grover on the album cover in the white suit w/ black silk shirt.

I was Muppet Show freak, too. I have the Time/Warner DVD collection of the shows. Classic. Scooter was my favorite, and the doll of him is still somewhere at my parents' along with Miss Piggy and Animal. Elmo is at my apartment...
