I always tell the girls, never take it seriously.
If ya never take it seriously, ya never get hurt. Ya never get hurt, ya always have fun...
And if you ever get lonely, just go to the record store and visit your friends.

Each of us who has Sitemeter is guilty of using its various features to check out who visits our blogs; we have the potential to pinpoint a reader's location down to their lat/long, for Pete's sake! (By the way, who the hell is Pete?) The only details I find really interesting, though, are those that give me an idea of what it was that actually brought someone to my blog. For example: Referring URL and Visit Entry Page. Most of the time it was a link from someone else's blog, or a direct hit from a friend/regular reader (when I had regular readers). My favorite is when someone is directed to me via Google.
So, anyway, tonight I saw that someone discovered MPL by Googling Penny Lane stripper.
Dirty Birdy suggested I Google Penny Lane stripper myself. Right on.
A link to me was 3rd. Third. Of about 146,000 results, I was 3rd.
Some of my first, and favorite, memories are of Scooby Doo. I remember learning to love the sensation of fear while sitting alone on my parent's bed Saturday mornings watching those meddling kids solve mysteries. The show was followed by Captain Cave Man, which few people seem to remember....? I also grew up going to King's Island in Cincinnati (yes, the same amusement park featured in that famous episode of Brady Bunch); the rollercoaster for the littlest kids was the Scooby Doo coaster in Hanna-Barbera Land. My brother would take me on that ride before he ran off to the big-kid rides.
So, Mr. Barbera, thanks for all the great memories. Oh, and by the way, I forgive you for Scrappy Doo.
Five days into my 2 weeks off. Cable TV and a packed bowl. Should I watch Match Game PM? Or maybe watch the verdict of the Savannah Debutante trial on CourtTV? Oh, but, alas, there is Dr. Phil with Sharon Osbourne, Ellen’s animal-filled American Express commercial, Gwen’s new video on MTV – oops, just a clip of Mrs. Gavin Rossdale cuz this is actually TRL with Nick Lachey’s honey and co-host Fantasia (does this chick suck helium? I will give her props for saying she wants to bring back the sound of Tina Turner, but damn her song Hood Boy sucks).
Match Game PM. Fannie Farmer, Richard Dawson, Brett Somers, Charles Nelson Riley, Betty White...classic TV. “I keep having this terrible dream that my boss is a dog and I am a BLANK.” Of course, she should say cat. Say cat! She said cat. Many of the stars said hydrant.
I flip past a repeat of Top Chef... although Padma Lakshmi is 100x better than Katie Lee Joel ever was, she is still pretty dry. The Indian beauty really needs to dress her age. Does she think she’s Jack Sparrow's long lost sister? She's married to Salman Rushdie, ya know... ew, ew, ew.
Score! It is 4:00, and Oprah is actually worth watching today: Will Smith is promoting ThePursuit of Happyness! I’m in tears already. Check ya later
